God’s Got Your Back

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18

We’re going on the complete opposite side of the spectrum compared to yesterday’s devotional. We’re talking about sadness and how God can help us when we’re sad. Our verse says that God is especially close to those who are upset and mourning. This year I have definitely experienced more sadness compared to the past few years, but that drew me closer to God. If you ever are feeling upset, say a prayer and turn to God. He will always be there for you!

Dear God, Thank you for always being there for me. In times of trouble, please give me peace and joy. Amen
