Serving as a Youth

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” - 1 Timothy 4:12

During the holiday season, giving back and serving is very important. I enjoy volunteering and trying to make my world a better place, but I understand that many teens and older kids think that since they are younger they won’t have an impact. That is incorrect. Anyone can make an impact, a little goes a long way. Anyone, regardless of age, can do the Lord’s work and share the word of God. You should never let anyone discourage you from serving God and others because you can still make a difference.

God chose Mary, who was in her early teenage years, to serve Him and give birth to Jesus. This was a big responsibility, and one that she accepted because she was a servant of God.

Prayer

Dear God, Thank you for this day. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help others! Amen.
